Protect Alaska’s sockeye salmon and stop Pebble Mine

Pebble Mine—a massive proposed mining project in Bristol Bay—was a terrible idea from the start. That’s why 180,000 SumOfUs members like you called on mining giant Rio Tinto to walk away from the project. And thanks to your work to bring Alaskan elders to the Rio Tinto annual meeting, they did.

Here comes the bad news: Bristol Bay still isn’t safe.

The world’s largest wild sockeye salmon run and the thousands of locals and Alaska natives who rely on it are still need our support because Northern Dynasty Minerals is still trying to carelessly push the project through.

Luckily the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has opened a public comments period that will make or break the future of Bristol Bay. And we need to make sure they hear from each and every one of us.

Send a comment calling on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to protect Bristol Bay from reckless mining development.
